studio one mix….vol. 2!

I got so excited with the last Studio One mix, I dug out a bunch of full lengths that I haven’t listened to in too long and made a second. There is so much good stuff in here it makes me want to white boy skank. Something I never really noticed before while recording these tracks, Studio One has a serious streak of heavy and sad hits. I guess when I think of them, I mostly scan back to the boppy ska of the 60’s. But shit got real over there on 13 Brentford Road in the 70s I suppose, as this mix can attest.

I followed the tradition set with Studio One mix one and started this all off with another great 70s cover, this time Horace Andy’s version of “Where Do The Children Play”. Super good! OK, I’ll shut up and let you get to listening. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do because my Studio One Re-Stoke is through the roof right now. Mix Three? Probably, I barely scratched the surface of the 45s collection…run it!
