jah guidance mix…

This was little confusing to gather so hopefully I got this story straight. Jah Guidance was similar to Volcano records, in that it was all produced by Henry “Junjo” Lawes, recorded at Channel One with Scientist at the controls and Roots Radics as the band. Which would explain why it’s so amazing seeing as that is my favorite band and engineer. (Check out the Scientist records for more Roots Radics dubbed out by the man himself. I’d suggest King of Dub as a good start.) The confusion comes from wondering why these aren’t just on his Volcano label, but Jeremy at Deadly Dragon confirmed that the 12″s, at least, were made specifically for distribution through Randy’s Records. That’s a lot of story. All you need to know is this is maybe the best era of Jamaican music ever.. in my opinion. If you want more be sure to check out Mighty Crown Tribute to Volcano and Haul and Pull Up, Selecta.. both totally amazing must haves.

  1. This mix is killer! So much good stuff i haven’t heard. If you could post a track list for this, and the Cornerstone mix, that would be amazing.
